thats not upgradeable sorry

Trying to get dual core technology but I am not sure if my mobo would support this while yes my mobo is a 775 and supports pentium D it does not say what series it supports 8xx -9xx etc any help on finding a dual core that this mobo would support would be appreciated.

I need to know what processors I can use in my HP computer the part number for the system board is 380356-001. You can find the bord by searching for it on гугл. Here is all the info I have on it.

I am looking to upgrade the above m/b processor to an intel dual core, I have some old paperwork that says it will, but which ones will it take?

I have tried the foxconn site but cannot get the info, that m/b is discontinued.

any pcie video card will work with any motherboard with a pcie 16X slot ver: 1,2, or 3 so long as you power supply does

It’s been proven before. 😀 ASUS is the best you can buy. They’ve been making motherboards as long as ATI and Nvidia have been making graphics cards. For the Intel sockets and chipsets also: any motherboard that has P55 or H55 in the model name of the board, it can run a Xeon processor, remember that.

windows will not care if you upgrade cpu but if its from single core to more cores it may only use one core to you reinstall

The ASUS P5LP-LE motherboard came with the HP Pavillion Media Center TV m8020n Desktop PC that I purchased in 2007.

Regarding processor upgrades, I have discovered it does NOT work with all Core 2 Duo E6x00 processors, even though they specify socket 775 and FSB 1066MHz.

My computer came from the factory with an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6420 @ 2.13GHz, L2 4MB, FSB 1066MHz, LGA775.

This motherboard will NOT upgrade to E6800 @ 3.33GHz (with other specs same as above), even though the motherboard specs say «any E6x00 series»). I have tried it — the computer powered on, the CD/DVD drives opened and closed, but the computer would not boot up and the hard drives would not spin, and of course the screen received no video input. I doubt it was insufficient power, as the power supply was recently upgraded to support a video card requiring more power. Everything returned to normal when I put the original processor back in. (Guess it’s time to sell the E6800 processor on eBay, as newegg does not exchange or accept returns on opened processor boxes.)

I have read on other forums that the best you can do (if you want an Intel processor) for this motherboard would be the following, but I have not tried it yet: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6600 @ 2.4GHz, L2 4MB

I am not familiar with other processor brands. I welcome any helpful commentary.

I already sold my previous e7400 processor and planning to upgrade it to q8400 but I saw here that it is in the list of compatible cpu for my asus p5kpl-Am motherboard. But I also notice that the bios number and pcb is different from the bios number and pcb of e7400 in the same list.

does this mean that I have to flash my bios? coz I dont have my e7400 anymore.

and also, what the pcb value means?

Sorry for being a noob, I thought I can upgrade to any 775 socket processor 🙁

Компания Asus в собственном пресс-релизе заявила, что ее материнские платы серии 600 будут поддерживать новые чипы Intel 13-го поколения. Эта новость обрадует юзеров, использующих сейчас данную платформу с микропроцессорами Alder Lake. Кстати, ASRock сделала аналогичное заявление в июне. Но похоже, что Asus будет поддерживать Raptor Lake лишь на лучших чипсетах Z690, по последней мере, на исходном шаге.

В пресс-релизе говорится, что материнские платы от Asus 600-ой серии получат поддержку новых микропроцессоров в согласовании с приведенной ниже диаграммой. В общей таблице есть 23 материнские платы Intel Z690, что совпадает с 23 материнскими платами Intel Z690, перечисленными на страничках товаров Asus. Другими словами, если у вас на данный момент есть материнская плата Asus Z690 хоть какой серии, к примеру ROG, TUF, ProArt либо Prime, она будет поддерживать микропроцессоры Intel Core 13-го поколения (Raptor Lake) с подходящим обновлением BIOS.

С одной из перечисленных выше материнских плат в вашей текущей сборке вы сможете перейти на страничку поддержки Asus и скачать новейшую версию BIOS, чтоб получить сопоставимость с микропроцессором Raptor Lake.

Если вы являетесь обладателем материнской платы Asus на B660 либо H610 чипсете, то вы, возможно, не можете обновиться до Raptor Lake, когда он выйдет. Так как ASRock предлагает еще более широкую поддержку чипсетов, ограниченный перечень поддерживаемых Z690, предоставленный Asus сейчас, может в итоге быть изменен. Может быть все находится в зависимости от того, что предпримут большие соперники, такие как Gigabyte и MSI, по этому вопросу, также от возмущения клиентов.

Intel хочет выпустить совсем новые чипсеты серии 700 для материнских плат в момент выхода Raptor Lake. Пока нет полной официальной инфы об этих чипсетах/платах, но понятно, что будут улучшения в подключении — с огромным количеством линий PCIe 4.0 и портами USB 3.2 Gen 2×2. Что касается производителей материнских плат, то им прибыльнее было бы продавать материнские платы на новых чипсетах 700-й серии. Стоит также держать в голове, что в будущем году появится Meteor Lake (14-го поколения), который принесет некие огромные конфигурации (и новый сокет/материнскую плату).
